YO HO, YO HO, A PIRATES LIFE FOR ME

This week started off with a great big house party at ours. Sanka, my French housemate is leaving Wanaka so we decided to have another amazing party. The theme was Pirates and we were all told to dress up. We spent a few hours cleaning the house and party it party proof and making liters of Sangria for all the guests. We even decorated and put up black balloons with Skull and Cross bones on them! The place looked great. So did all of the guests. They really made a super effort and looked awesome, apart from me! I just don't like fancy dress and can't ever get in to the spirit of it! But I did have an eye patch slung around my neck like a necklace! That was enough effort for me.

The next day I was very VERY glad I had the day off work as I got no sleep and we had to spend the day trying to clean up the house, but it was hard work as it really was trashed! That night everybody went out for an Indian meal, but as I am still trying to be a vegan I decided not to go, and after losing over a stone in weight I didn't want to undo all my good work!!

So Saturday I woke up and said goodbye to Sanka and this strange liquid stuff began leaking from my eyes. Somebody said it was something called tears! But I don't know, tears and crying is not something that I do very often! But luckily my eyes dried up before anybody saw!! I really don't do emotion like that, don't know what came over me!!!

Next day it was raining in town and snowing on the mountain really bad so the mountain was shut and we all had a day off! Bonus! As soon as we heard the mountain was shut the rain stopped and the sun came out and we all headed to the lake front to drink beer, or soy latte in my case, gosh I know how to indulge!! The coffees then turned in to wines and the day soon past under a haze of good food, good drink and good company before turning in to a good night all too quickly! Well, apart from the 1 hour walk home in the rain and the dark where I got lost! But somehow, as usual, I managed to find my way home!

Finished the week off with a DVD night with my housemate Ben. We watched the new Robbie Downey Jr and Jake (Soon to be my husband) Gyllanhaal movie Zodiac. It was very good, go watch it.
