The zoom air flight passed by relatively uneventfully. It was delayed a bit in London, and then again in during the stop over in Montreal. As we flew and waited, we were overwhelmed with a mixture of feelings. Certainly happiness to finally be back home with our family. Also sadness that this great adventure is coming to and end.

At the airport in Toronto we were kind of disappointed that when the customs dude asked the standard questions, "when did you leave, where are you coming from?" etc, when we said we are back after 15 months, we got a monotone "Anything to declare?". No "Welcome back", "how was the trip" or anything like that. We did not expect welcome flowers from the dude, but some traditional Canadian friendliness would have been nice.

We got our bag, came out to the airport and saw mom with her camera. She had brought Mrowka along, one of Malwina's harcerki, which was a really pleasant surprise. When we got home, there were 5 other harcerki there with cake and all for a second surprise! Ahhh it was good to be home.

 

We will post a reflection of what our thoughts are in general in the coming week or so.
