Titicaca Port
Entry 50 of 323 | show all | print this entry |
We got to Puno early evening, just enough time to book a 2 day trip to the islands on Lake Titicaca and grab some much needed food. While looking for food we managed to bump into Ola Lesniak, a friend of many years from Harcerstwo, whom we had not seen in a couple of years. Imagine seeing someone you had not seen in 2 years on a small street in a non descript town in Peru. Quite the feeling. Turns out she was heading out for the islands as well.
Puno itslef is not very interesting. It has one touristy streatch of restaurants, and bars, and big Scotiabank, but but in general does not have much old architecture or anything that sticks out as particularly nice, except the port on Lake Titicaca.
