Day 1 - Delta Tour

I took the bus boat tour from Saigon to Phnom Penh. It was a decent trip, but I wouldn't bother doing it again. Lots of sitting on uncomfortable chairs trying to snooze. We stopped in a town called Chou Doc to sleep the night. A South African dude called Stuart (I was calling him Scott for 2 days then he corrected me) suggested we get up at 4:30am to watch the sun rise from this mountain near by.

Day 2 - Goodbye Nam, Hello Cam.

After a romantic view of the sunrise with Stew we got back on the bus and boat again for a long day of traveling. My bus seat was getting pushed forward and left by the pile of bags behind me. I think the seat was comming out of the floor. Flet like the days of my old commodore. The boat ride seemed to last forever, but the scenery was nice n stuff. Tradgedy struck then I scratched my head while hanging off the side of the boat. I knocked my cool Sunglasses into the water. They didn't stand a chance.

Phnom Penh is much more civilized than I had thought it would be. I got a room for $2US a night which is a total shit hole. Lots of cool resturants and shopping places (shops].

Day 3 - Phnom Penh City Tour

Today I walked around the city with Poms Caroline and Clare from the Mekong Delta tour. Highlights included feeding some monkeys and pretending not to see the beggers.

Day 4 - Killing Fields

Hired a bike and took Pommy Caroline to the Killing Fields. I've been learning about the history of this place and it's one fucked up history lesson. The road to the KF was flooded so we had to load the bike onto a crappy boat to continue on. Was kinda cool. Saw my second bike accident since travelling, but no major injuries. Traffic here is maybe worse than Nam. I spend most of my time trying to avoid the cops as the corrupt fuckers just want bribes. I got away bribe free so far. We found a cool place for dinner on the lake. I took 2 passangers at once on a bike for the first time today. Fuck knows how the get 7 on.

Going through your travel logs and photos was brilliant. Im inspired. It seems to take a creative person to make real fun out of travel. Stevan (who)I now work with who you would know from the gym thinks you're insane and nearly cried seeing 'head up hawks ass' photo. You're crazy. Love it.

Where are you off to from Cam? have you picked up any language?

Peace

Hey Andrew,

It is Mark, the guy you call the Belgian DUDE. I just wanted to tell I like your new hairstyle. Did Julia talk you into that? You look clean and that is new. I guess the reason you did is, was that you could not find hair gel?!? I hope you enjoy Angkor Wat and Cambodja. It is just wonderful! Loads of fun and see you one day in Belgium. You are Welcome!

Sorry to see you lost the bet. Or perhaps it's the headlice epidemic that strikes those asian countries. Just kidding. I'm sure you're enjoying the new do and it feels much cooler. Guess you might have to wear a hat now, a red blistering head is probabaly not such a cool look.
Well it's great to hear you're enjoying your travels, most of the time anyway. You've covered a fair area considering ... show all
