Piran is a pretty little town on the very edge of Slovenia. Literally - it seems to be almost spilling down a hill into the sea. There's not much to the place, but it was a good day trip from Koper. I just spent my time ambling around the narrow, winding streets and generally avoiding the overcrowded waterfront, lined as it was with restaurants and people sunbathing in the middle of the paths. Fortunately, most people don't seem to stray from from there, so the city walls overlooking the town afforded some great views without feeling quite as busy as they might have been. I think without all the people, Piran would have been a relaxing place to spend a couple of days; as it was, walking around town for a few hours was enough.
