Koper was my base of operations for day trips out to Piran and the Postojna caves, on principle that it would make more sense than to keep moving on every day, and it worked out well enough (for the most part). I even had a 3 bed room to myself for 3 days!

The town is quiet and reasonably attractive in a coastal, meditteranean way, though probably not worth more than a day trip. Still, I have to say it felt good to be by the coast again - it's been a good 6 months since I've seen the sea! Nice sunsets, too.
