The First Day

Hello!
I arrived in Bangkok today at about 15:30 local time (about 09:30 in the UK). The flight was ok, the entertainment system made it bearable but it was pretty long! Since I arrived I've had a great time, and feel like I'm really enjoying it aleady. I met a guy called Ian, a friendly Irish lad who I made friends with and am now staying in the room opposite him and his best friend, Dave. We went out tonight and had a great time sampling a bit of Bangkok, which included watching the Man Utd vs Chelsea match on a huge screen on a wall, entering a pool tournament with the locals and making friends with the security guards of one of the bars!
We are staying in the New Siam II Guest House, just off of Khao San Road. A few things have become obvious. There are hundreds of stray cats and dogs, most of which are tiny! All the Thai people are very friendly although we do get hassled a lot by street traders and cab drivers, but they're all ok. Its Carrie, Great to hear you are having a fab time already.
The picture of all the temples are amazing, such detail! Looks really stunning.
Hope you continue to enjoy, just be aware of the ladyboys offering you sucky, sucky for 10 dollar!!
