A week in Shigatse

This was to prove an interesting week!
Most traveller's spend the night in this town, which is the old capital of Tibet. Not a lot of people know that! There was actually a lot to see, and I was fortunate to have the companionship of Lopsang and Tashi. Two Tibetan friends I made during my first day. We spent each night in a different restaurant or bar. I had a good look and cycle around Shigatse, discovering a fantasic old town, a newly modeled small Potala, another summer palace, two great monestaries, one of the BEST I was to visit in Tibet and last but not least a street that had whores that competed with the likes of Amsterdam, shop fronts and red lighting included! Of course, it was simply viewed from a taxi ride one evening and accidentally discovered!
