Whew! Today, with Naomi 3 hours north at a three day long work intro, I went out to school for what they billed as "Registration." Now, at first I thought this meant a funny vocabulary difference meaning "orientation." In fact, it basically meant picking up my ID card and loan checks and opening a citibank account. This of course, could have been done via mail and web, but I had the great experience of hanging out with a few people, so I didn't mind really.
When Naomi and I were leaving LSE housing (which we were in as a temporary base from which to explore London) there was a guy speaking with an American accent. I went over and started a conversation which lasted about 10 minutes. Naomi and I left, but then I saw him again today talking with some other LSE students. The four of us went and grabbed lunch, which was really cool. I would have been nice to have lived in student housing in a way, but they really could only offer studios and the living environment would not have been nice for Naomi. That isn't to place blame at all, I should note. She is my priority, and my life will be incredibly more sane living here. The relaxing environment will be invaluable come exams time.
I am sorry, but I have no pictures to show you...except this one out back. It is the back of a restaurant though, so don't get too excited. The other three are someone else's--but they are accurate!

Aw... I didn't think you sounded like a whingey wanker, and I would be the first in line behind Angela to remind you how lucky you are if you were complaining. Ha ha ha ha ha!
But you're not. So moot point.
(I should delete this comment, but I'm leaving it cos I said 'whingey wanker,' which is pronounced 'win'-gee wan'-kah.' That amuses me too much to delete.)
