(There are no pictures yet for this entry -- coming soon!)
Hi everyone!
Naomi here. I just wanted to write a little bit about starting work and how my job is going. Now, us still being in the hotel wasn't exactly in the plan for my starting heading out to Maidenhead to work. A quick Google maps search will illustrate why this isn't ideal: Not Ideal. On the train this trip (with waiting for trains and walking and buying pasties (a delicious confection of breakfasty goodness, kind of like a hot pocket)) take about two hours. On the bright side, we will soon be living much closer... see entry coming soon... like really soon. :) :) Alright, we signed a lease today (19/09) and will be moving tomorrow! (20/09). This entry is in the place where it should have originally been written.
Anyway, the train trip to work was really boring the first day because I brought neither iPod nor novel. But I've gotten the hang of it now, and I actually look forward to taking the train. It's a nice time to listen to music and think about how you don't have to talk to any realtors that day. My work friends are amazing! They took me out for a big lunch and everyone is super nice and enjoys hearing about my difficult with strange phrases in British English. Or English, as they call it here. The office is great, and I get a 35 hour work week because this is Europe.
I will post pictures of my train ride as soon as I can.
That's all for now.
Cheerio!
