The Ireland/Slovakia soccer game was amazing! The fans went nuts, everyone was singing, and we almost won...
The Irish were leading 2-1 at the end of regulation, but the Slovaks scored with 30 seconds left in injury time, so we settled for a tie. They now have to win on Wednesday night in Prague, or they do not qualify. After the game, 25,000 irishmen paced up and headed for Prague, you have to love the dedication!
As for Bratislava, it is really nice town. The old town is completely restored, and all of the bars and embassies are located here in a six square block area. Although they were overwhelmed with the Irish mob, they were polite to us and as far as I could see there was no trouble with the cops the entire weekend. Everyone just had a great time...
