What a dıfference a day makes. While thıs is a Muslım city, it is very modern and progressıve, and most women do not have their heads covered. İ,m quite happy to see long hair again! İ spent the day today touring this city of 15 million, and had great luck at the blue mosque, where a store keeper saw my Canada tshirt and invited me to watch the afternoon prayers from the roof of his store, the best view in town (i have video). İ also had a great boat ride over to the Asian sıde of the city. İ am looking forward to driving over the Bosporous Strait tomorrow, the only bridge in the world that connects two continents!
