What a dýfference a day makes. While thýs is a Muslým city, it is very modern and progressýve, and most women do not have their heads covered. Ý,m quite happy to see long hair again! Ý spent the day today touring this city of 15 million, and had great luck at the blue mosque, where a store keeper saw my Canada tshirt and invited me to watch the afternoon prayers from the roof of his store, the best view in town (i have video). Ý also had a great boat ride over to the Asian sýde of the city. Ý am looking forward to driving over the Bosporous Strait tomorrow, the only bridge in the world that connects two continents!
