Driving through a city of 25 million people, one can only wonder what the plumbing under the city must look like. Everywhere there is life, with tall buildings streatching in all directions for as far as you can see. About the only thing that they do not have here is traffic lights, which makes for crazy drives through the streets. The pyramids are out of town, on the edge of the Saraha, and are surrounded by slums and merchants trying to sell you anything they can. Basically everything is a scam in Egypt, so for the first time in the trip I am having to give very forceful 'no's' to many people, just so they will stop trying to sell to me. Went out last night in the city centre for some drinks some folks from LA, and we ended up dancing in a disco until 4am! Tonight is the 'Pyramids by night' show, and then it is off to Istanbul, Turkey tomorrow.
