Ok, so the drive back over the mountains in Crete was even more terrifying, because you see all of the cliffs that you almost drive over in the daylight. Irakilon is a big city, about 700,000 people, and so you feel like you are on the mainland, even though you are actually on a really big island, that is about 300kms long! I am walking around looking for some good food that can be eaten in the shade! It is about 40 degrees here today, and Dubai is next, (after one day in Athens) and there they say it is hotter! Looking forward to seeing my friend Laura, who is staying with her boyfriend there at the moment...
