lucky for us bangkok is such a good place to visit for a few days.  we arrived with goals of getting our indian visas stamped so that we could visit sikkim in the mighty himalaya, visiting chinatown, visiting the grand palace, escaping the heat of the day in an air conditioned movie theatre, and of course enjoying as much thai food as possible.  happy to say we achieved all of our goals except the grand palace.  neither of us are much on palaces so no big loss. 

up early tue morn we caught our flight to india...
