yet another overnight bus ride, after 10 hours we arrived in the quaint town of hoi an. this town is known for it's tailors...many many shops where you can have clothes fit to your bum just perfectly. we coulnd't pass up the opportunity, so we had some silk shorts made (vietnam is known for their fine silk).
we rented bikes in town and were able to lazily cruise the neighborhoods and also ride along the river that passed through town. we were only here for a night, but this french inspired town impressed us. nice simple architecture and the food was good, the pace of town was slow, and if you like to shop for clothes and shoes, everything is made for you in a very very short time. next stop hue.
