Back on the tourist circuit... First tourist bus since that fateful journey from Cambodia - this one was nowhere near as bad! Did manage to lose a second pair of sunglasses within a week, and an ATM ate my cashcard - but they recovered it in 20 minutes - phew!!

All us tourists got packed into boats to get to the park - supposed to take three hours, but due to a bit of overloading and it being dry season we got grounded and had to get out the boat a couple of times - rat & I didn't mind but an old French bloke was less than amused..!

Bit of a nightmare finding somewhere to stay as its school holidays over here, so lots of locals were on their hols.. We ended up with a musty A-Frame, but we spoke to some girls who paid the same for a rat infested dorm! There were masses of tour groups around, so we set off at 7.45 to beat the crowds in to the oldest surviving rainforest in the world...

1st stop "Canopy Walkway", longest of its kind in the world at over 400m, some people found it quite scary - I'm not sure mum would like it!

After a fairly tiring morning walk up two hills we came across the girls again. They'd just ben swimming in the river and suggested we did the same - Seemed a good idea to me, but Rat made us plough on....

I'm glad we did! We went to a cave and then crawled 80m through it. Rat made me go 1st due to his fear of bats, which i didn't mind too much, but wasn't keen on crawling through all the bat shite... Was happy to get out and have a shower! About 17km in 8 hours, bring on the next trek!!!
