Fort it was good. Until it rained.

Left bags at train station (50rpees a piece) and then headed off for a walk within the fort and then along the walls. On the way we popped into the cricket stadium for a few photos. Saw some churches and old colonial buildings, then we moved up to the walls overlooking the ocean. Very pleasant place, or at least it was until about 7 eighths of the way round when the heavens opened.
We rushed to the bus station to find something to eat. Nothing too appetising around, but then across the road we spotted a bakery with a restaurant upstairs. This was most authentic place we went on our trip with no tourists in site, but English speaking staff and menu. I had the kotu rotti which was amazing and a massive portion. Josefina had some soup. Then to bakery for some little cakes and some jelly and ice cream milky desert thing.
Back to train station, picked up bags and then tuk tuk to Mirissa (800rpees)
