Each day we are getting a little closer to leaving... Today we have put up the stay sail and the Genoa (the front sail), atached the anchor and just messed around doing small jobs like cleaning etc. It's a rainy day here but it's hotter than ever as there is no wind to cool us down.

Yesterday was a long hard day of putting up the cheap fake leather interior roofing which took alot of screwing and bolting etc. To reward ourselves for our days work we launched the dingy and put on the outboard motor and went down river to the beach where we found a bar with a spa. We had a few beers while soaking our muscles in the water.

The last couple of nights i have been sleeping outside in the cockpit starkers naked as it's so hot. I have lost count on the amount of mozzie bits i have though!

Tomorrow i think we are going to finish off all the cleaning and other small jobs. Friday we will be heading to Miami to pick up the life raft which im looking forward to alot.

I had my first American racoon sighting yesterday which was cool, it looked like a seriously overweight possum. A sumo-wrestling possum perhaps.

anyways ill write again now probably on the weekend.
