Some evolutionary theorists pose that we are merely juvenile apes that have some how developed the biology necessary to reproduce. I like this theory as it helps me understand the development of areas like science, technology, art, and medicine. When I read a biography about Einstein (to which did not finish) it detailed how he had a child's mind, a mind that was free from the cementation that comes with time and age. A child's mind can explore and think of ideas outside the box. As we very well might be juvenile apes this would place us in the realm of that child's mind giving the population the innocence and freedom to intuit, develop, and create the wonders all around us today. I went swimming tonight after my first day back, which was not too bad. Sally, Jenny, and I went to a pool and did some laps for about 45minutes give or take. We'll probably go on Wednesdays as that is when the pool hours would accommodate our late finish at school. Tomorrow we are having a BBQ work. Our principal has stated things will be fine and I feel it is time to get back on track, the positive one that is, as suspicious as I have been, I see no longer a need to and will trust. My trip home was excellent. I had a lay up in Incheon on the way to Canada for almost 8 hours to which I was compensated with a 10,000 won meal ticket which barely covered the club sandwich I ate. The plane was airborne at 1030pm and I had a quick lay over in Vancouver which put me in Toronto at 2am. My family was waiting there and we then drove 3 hrs west to Goderich. We arrived at 5am and hit the sack. The next day was spent visiting relatives and having a dinner with all at the Park House. The Park House is a nice little restaurant with good food and some hot waitresses. After dinner mom put on a side show with the help of Uncle John showing her and Melissa's Korean adventure. The next day we said our good byes and drove to Toronto and dropped Melissa off and waited for her to get through customs as she headed to her life in the USA.Once all was good we headed home to Ottawa, arriving at 6pm as mom predicted. I called Charles and he said he would pick me up in an hour or so. I packed the things I needed for the wedding and was on my way out the door when I decided to grab one of my dad's beers to drink on the way down to the mall. This slight misjudgment in culturally appropriate/legal behaviour was quickly put in check when I realize where I was. Chuck picked me up at the mall after I dropped off some tailoring. We stopped at his folks and Chuck fixed a slide show he had prepared for the wedding. On our way to the cottage we talked like old buddies about life and such. Once there we met up with some more friends and partied at the beach late into the night. Michaud was on strict orders to get Pat, the groom, home by 2am. The usual childish behaviour was evident at the beach. A highly probable out come when childhood friends reunite. The wedding the next day was great. It was a mix of Persian and Franco Ontarian cultures. It was great to see so many people under one roof. There was dancing, speeches, and love floating around in the air. Once the wedding wrapped up some of us headed to the beach once again for another late night. At one point I wandered away from the party and walked along the beach stopping to lie down and look at the stars. They were so bright and abundant. As I looked up for them tonight outside the pool while waiting for Sally and Jenny I found none, my eyes were blind to them by light pollution and smog. As the party at the beach wound down the sky became a deep blue lightening up as the minutes rolled on. I made my way back to the chalet to get some z's. The next day we had breakfast with family and friends and Eric and I headed back to Ottawa. Once back in the city I had dinner with my sister Jenny, her boyfriend Warren, mom,and dad. I met up with some friends to watch some ballet dancers work their magic. A few shooters and beers later I was turning into a pumpkin. Chuck and I left and once home I packed and hit the sac for 3 hours of rest. On the plane back I slept a lot more and before I could blink and eye I was back in Uijeongbu Korea. This trip in it's small but powerful scale, allowed me to connect with family and friends in a great way. My grandfather will be 90 this October and there are only four in my close circle of friends who are still single. Ahhh how times change. Thanks for reading.
