Jamie and I set out in search of the elusive Who bar and after some searching she decided to head back to our hostel. Unfazed I walked back with her to open the door and then set out on my own to find the Who. I walked for about a half a KM and found the bar. Once inside it was empy so I sat at the bar and ordered a Heiniken. Momenst later I was conversing with its owner, a Yank from Oregon. It turns out he is the owner of the hostel we are staying at. We had a great conversation in which he gave me tips about surfing and how to run a bar and hostel. I will commit to memory the tactics of braving big waves and his words of "Once you learn to ride consistently you will seek out a way of life that will allow you to surf. Everything else will revolve around being able to surf." John has been here long before I was riding a skate board and cruising down hills of snow on an old skate board with bike inner tubes to hold one in place. I had a few brews and said my good byes. I stepped out into a dark street void of the day time hustle and bustle of scooters and cars going about. In the darkness I walked to find a large tree all lit up with lights. After talking with family and then this experience I have had the best possible Christmas away from family and friends. Even with the thoughts of missing home. Tommorrow we rise to take a ferry to Green Island to explore and discover. Merry Christmas!!!!!!!!!!!!
