Started studying Korean tonight and it has become quite fun. One of my supervisors is teaching a colleague and I Korean. It feels like I'm in grade 2 again and I have to decode the secret puzzle, that being the Korean alphabet: Hangul. I have the vowels down and now it's on to the consonants.

Through some of my adventures both present and past I have been fortunate enough to taste the sweet juices of heaven. Of course these moments all come with the real possibility of danger. Be it a scrap in which neither my opponent or I are willing to give up, both beating the shit out of each other to progress along the draw, fearless of injury and defeat, or success for that matter. Riding down the Alps in France with good friends, so caught up in the copious amounts of powder that deliver you to a hypnotic state as though you are riding the clouds above, cruising by yesterdays avalanche only thinking of how grand life really is in the here and now. Being a virgin to the waters of the great Pacific and cruising out on a long board shaking thoughts of what might lurk below or her wrath in the form or the all powerful wave. It is these peak moments that I feel I have come close to God and the heaven in which we all have a right to. These moments have had the uncanny ability to bring great joy and fulfillment to me by just the experience alone. And then come the calmer moments in which an autistic student says his goodbyes as he boards the bus on a Friday afternoon and I set out to meet my friends for a night of drinks. Times when I reflect on all the interesting jobs I've had such as moving, installing windows in high rises, supporting men with disabilities and teaching in a foreign country. The world is a big place and I hope to be able see much of it while seeking out new experiences that shape me into a better person. To all of you who have been following I thank you and I will do my best to keep you informed of all my travels. In eleven days I will be boarding a plane to a new land and with that will come new adventures. And now it's time to read and fall asleep.
Thanks for reading.
