We were really getting into this travel now  - only days before we were due to arrive in Sydney and we still had no where to stay but were calm.  Eventually,  found a serviced apartment on the outskirts - as with most of our trip where ever we go it has been busy - this time, Sydney had a major rugby game, a huge 'Earth' concert and the school holidays too.  We stayed at a really funky little suburb outside Sydney central called Coogee Beach (around 15 minutes from Bondi) our apartment was right next to the beach and if we stood on tiptoes we could see the sea!  It reminded us of Brighton in many ways, it had lots of rawness about it - with awesome beaches and really laid back attitude.  Fab restaurants, good parks too.

During the begining of our trip we had cut down our time in Sydney but once we were there we realised that we could have done with at least another week - there is so much to see Guilderton Beach, WA

.  The harbour was as we expected - teaming with people.  Again we struck lucky with the weather, most of the time we needed no coats or brollies.  We liked the Rocks area too - really good for the children so much to do.  We never did the Bridge walk (too expensive), we loved the Opera House, we took a boat out of the harbour and saw all the fantastic houses along the waters edge.

We attemtped to walk from Coogee to Bondi along the coastal walk, an estimated 40 minute walk but with Oli and Tabi it was closer to three hours before we gave up and got the bus back to Coogee - there were so many waves to chase, stones to throw, playing areas to investigate and shells for Tabi to collect!

Sydney was a cool place,  the buses service was excellent, the weather was kind, Coogee was cool, beaches awesome.  We would love to spend more time there.

Wow, and more Wow
Hi Morford family
It is just wonderful to sit here, at my desk and read of your fantastic adventures. The photos are great. As you know my John lived in Fiji from 6months of age - 7 years of age and the photos bring back happy memories. It will be so difficult to return to 'normal' life - but pleased to see you are enjoying every minute of your trip - apart from ants! Keep the great reports coming - we really enjoy them. Margaret
