At hte top are great views across the gulf and back towards the city itself. Kuwait is a new city and there is lots of contstruction happening both for tourists and business people alike.
From the towers we walked along the waterfront towards a new shopping mall type district. Vey modern with many western type shops. We had to stop for an ice cream! A short Taxi to downtown for a wander and a bite for lunch.
We ended up choosing a weird little place upstairs called Tasty, because the name was called Tasty! Here we had the worlds hottest curries and about 14 cans of coke to control it! We then caught a taxi onto the Marina district, heaps of brand new shops and massive boats, and of course, a Krispy Kreme shop! Soon we were headed for the markets back in downtown. It seems as though they have tidied up this area for the tourist as it was very clean and all lit up.
After dinner we headed back to the towers which were near our hotel for the mandatory night shot.
The next morning we had to head back to the airport for our flight to Cairo. We were standing out tyhe front as the concierge had arranged for our transfer when we saw a bright yellow hummer cruise past. I was about to get my camera out when it did a turn, pulled up and said 'You,Airport?' Yep, it was our transfer and there we were barreling down the airport road doing 160kmph with us hanging on laughing. A quick stop at the Harley Davidson Shop in Kuwait Airport before our flight to Cairo......
We finally landed in Kuwait City. We got our transfer to the hotel which was great, dumped our bags and headed straight for the Kuwait Towers.
