Just out of the bathtub my phone rang. "The owner requests your company in the lounge at 9:30". Well that's another first and of course I accepted the invitation. We spoke for hours, learning about each other's countries, drank the best beer I've ever had in India and... another first... I ate meat. The palace was just incredible. I was taken on a tour and treated to a very exciting family history. The owner and his family are decendants of the royal family of Jubbal, and so I ended up playing playstation 3 on a huge flat-screen TV with the prince. That wasn't expected.

Most of the day today I've had a Spanish poem stuck in my head. From what I remember, it goes like this: Caminante no hay camino. Se hace camino al andar. Guelpo a guelpo, verso a verso. Roughly translated: You who seek the path; there is no path. Your path unfolds as you walk. Step by step, verse by verse. Thanks to Maria for this poem! It's exactly what I'm doing right now. Creating my own path - one that isn't as clearly marked as Camino de Santiago which I walked last year. Now the only path I can see is the one behind me, and that path my feet will never walk again.
