We arrived by bus into Jodhpur...we were pretty sceptical about taking the bus but we were both pleasently surprised...it wasn't that bad!!We each had our own seats and the drive was pretty comfortable. Although it wasn't without it's mishaps! We hit a donkey on the way...which was pretty funny for Anita cause she could see the whole thing. The donkey was just stunned, ended up getting up after a minute, so no harm done! in jodphur though we discovered that someone had put their old generator in the luggage part and oil had leaked all over. Monica's bag was sitting in a pool of oil! DISASTER!! as anita says, when you are travelling your backpack is your home, everything you own is carried in that bag. We got to our hotel and monica cleaned her bag right away. The damage is now to a minimum and not too much inside the bag was ruined. A lesson learned to always pack things in plastic bags!!
We spent the rest of the afternoon walking around this amazing city. There is a huge fort at the top of a hill and houses everywhere around it. It looks like they are piled on top of each other
Monica had a great conversation with a guy about how her long neck is really beautiful and a sign of beauty in India, as well as her high forehead!!!
Our hotel Cosy Guesthouse was pretty good...met some interesting travellers there. This one guy was a travel photographer from New Zealand and we got to see some of his pictures and hear some stories. We enjoyed some good meals prepared by the brother's that run the place.
The next morning we went up to the fort to walk around and discover everything inside. There was a great audio tour and we really enjoyed our time in the fort, minus all the tourists!! At the end we went to see the fort astrologer....it was pretty interesting what he had to say...he spoke SOO FAST...it was like an auctioneer...we tried to write things down and he gave us some insight into what jobs we should be doing!!
Here is what he told Monica: she is independent, seeks advice from others, listens but doesn't always take it. Idealistic, intuitive, works with lots of enthusiasm. Her health is good, she likes good food and drinks. Has a sensitive stomach to some foods but it doesn't stop her from eating!!
for Anita he said: she is sensitvie, anxiety stays with her, doesn't forget when she has been wronged, she used to be very ambtitous but now more realistic. She loves good food and drinks but is sensitive to spicy foods. Checks everything twice or three times to make sure it is done ( ie- locked the door, baggage is still under seat). She has always had headaches and they will only get worse in her 30's. She should work for a multinational organization or work abroad. She will meet someone when she is 27 and settle down and be happy. (he said it is a little late but thats okay - what about monica! haha)
It was fun to do and we might try to see someone else before we go home!

. They are so colorful too, blue, white, some terracota. The indigo colour signifies the brahmin caste (or used to - now anyone can have a blue house). Our rooftop restaurant at our hotel gave some great views. The small streets really reminded us of Aladdin...felt like we were in the disney movie!!There were monkeys (huge) jumping from balcony to balcony, vendors in the streets..Monica had a great conversation with a guy about how her long neck is really beautiful and a sign of beauty in India, as well as her high forehead!!!

. SHe will live into her 80's. At 25 or 26 she changed her career path and it was for the better and it will go well through her 30's, but the best after 50. She is intense and idealistic in love. if she doesnt find those things and what she is looking for she moves on. She is suppose to fall in love with someone during her 28's year, if not the at 30 or 36!! Children won't be a problem as she is fertile!!for Anita he said: she is sensitvie, anxiety stays with her, doesn't forget when she has been wronged, she used to be very ambtitous but now more realistic.
