we spent 3 days and 2 nights walking the low and high road through the gorge. also took an optional trip down to the river , where Monica walked back up by a vertical ladder of 20 M. Anita booted it back up with the others!
It is such a spectacular place. we had mostly good weather for great views. there are often landslides here , we had to cross one that had fallen the evening before. this was mostly trekking on mountains, meeting some locals along the way - but it was pretty much us and other travellers. the guesthouses we stayed at were comfortable (one with a toilet overlooking the mountains!)
Met some nice people at our guesthouse and after anita danced with the traditional Naxi people, we played interesting drinking games into the night.
