We almost started crying yesterday when we showed up to the Airport in Fiji and eventually found the lost luggage department, our bags were there!!! Monica hugged her pack, and we ran to the other terminal so that our bags would go on our flight to Sydney. We were so excited but it was hard to watch them go again!! We didn't have time to get anything out of them or anything, we almost didn't make our plane because of the running around and then they only have one security check in for the whole airport!! ridiculous but another example of "Fiji Time!"
We made it to Sydney and our bags came as well, so again another big celebration when we saw them come on the belt!!
Once we got settled at our hostel and finally decided what to wear ( so much choice, it was tough!!) we went to explore the captial on Australia Day! It was pretty amazing, concerts in Hyde Park, Fireworks at Darling Harbour, the whole works
Will post photos when we can!! Miss and love everyone! Thanks for all the posts!

Fiji - gorgeous! we needed more time there and we needed to explore more. beautiful islands and beautiful, friendly people. i think fijians have gogeous smiles. the cars are hilarious - clunkers that make me wish i would have held on to the red dragon. great seafood.
finding our bags - ecstatic!! so nice to be able to travel with what we planned to travel with. what a nightmare... opened my bag in sydney and wanted to cry again because sunscreen, conditioner and tanning oil all exploded! Tanning oil on half of my clothes proves to be smelly and annoying to clean away. drinking beer and eating corn on the cob on australia day helped me to forget about it until this morning.
sydney - cool city. reminds me of montreal or vancouver in the summer time. apparently anita and i need to update our wardrobe and purchase cute little sundresses with belts worn high on the waist. and any guy visiting should know to wear his shorts so low that his pubic hair shows - or maybe that was just the one guy yesterday who was enjoying his australia day so much (in mismatched thong sandals too lol)
Will post photos very soon! Need a USB port in these internet cafes.
