Day 21 - early evening
Day 14 - Northern Experience Tour
33 Celsius, warm evening
After a quick change of clothes such as putting on my long pair of pants and long sleeve blouse for that extra protection against those nasty mosquito bites at night, I couldn't wait to get back to Namutoni’s waterhole and see if any wild animals were presently there.
Unfortunately, none were! All that rushing and puffing for nothing this evening! However, I was quite content to see that the entire area looked amazingly stunning under a different natural light.
The sun was facing me from behind the waterhole and created shadows all around the high grass and rustic fence. Once again, Mother Nature had a way of adding pizzazz to the landscape. You can probably imagine what I did next!
My time was spent taking photos of the scenes developing in front of me while in the horizon, the sun gradually descended to a point where it became obvious that it was that time of day again…….it was sunset time. That was my cue to leave the waterhole and head to the tower to see it from above the ground.
A few other people had the same idea as Michel and I. We weren’t alone on the tower’s platform watching the sunset as it illuminated the entire horizon before gradually disappearing from view! I was glad I’d come.
To be continued…..Monique :-)
