Day 7 – evening
last evening was way too cloudy for me to see any signs of a proper sunset at Sea Point Promenade, I was more than willing to walk back there this early evening and see what the skies had to offer me.
After all, it had rained mostly all day today but it appeared as if the grey clouds had once again dispersed making way for a beautiful blue sky and a lovely sunset on the horizon. So without wasting any more precious minutes, I rapidly started walking in the direction of Sea Point Promenade with my bodyguard Michel right next to me! Hehehe!
I was right. As the sun slowly descended above the ocean, the entire sky became illuminated with a bright yellow and golden color. Shadows were painted on the rocky shore while the birds flew all around. I was content with my vistas! :-)
Michel passed the time by jumping from one rock to another looking for I don't know what! Ha, ha, ha! I stayed glued to my sunset watching any variations of it while continuously taking photos!
Since I didn’t want to walk back to the Waterfront in total darkness, we left right after I was satisfied with my sunset and before it completely disappeared from view. Glancing back once in a while, I could see that the sky was becoming pink in color but buildings were obstructing the view! Oh well….
The evening was spent quietly by wandering once again around the Waterfront! As usual, the place was crowded with tourists and alive with action! We retreated early in the evening……after all, today had been a very active day with the tour and everything else!
I went to bed thinking that tonight was our last night sleeping here at the Victoria & Alfred Hotel! That tomorrow evening, we’ll be joining our overland tour. I was getting excited to get the show started!Monique :-)
