Day 6 – late afternoon/evening

Looking at my watch, it was 4:30pm!   It was still too early for dinner and too late in the afternoon to plan anything special like a tour.

The nice blue sky that we had earlier had made way for a miserable cloudy one hiding in the process the sun.   On top of this, it appeared as if rain was in the forecast.    Regardless, I was more than willing to take my chances and take a stroll along Sea Point Promenade since I really enjoyed the area the first time that I've been there!

As Michel and I walked along Beach Rd, it was obvious that the wind had picked up.     The breeze was a little bit on the cooler side and not as warm and soothing to the skin as earlier during the day.    I was glad that I was warmly dressed even though it wasn’t that cold.

The waves were high and made thundering sound as they came crashing on the rocky shore.   Brave souls tried to surf them out while being continuously swallowed by those huge waves.     At least, they weren’t pushed on all those rocks close to where they surfed.

Having come here to see the sunset, I was disappointed in a way that none was in the horizon.   The sun was still hiding behind those thick greyish clouds but at least it wasn’t raining!     Not that I was afraid of the rain because I wasn’t!    I had come prepared!    In Michel’s backpack, I had brought my umbrella and raincoat!     Hehehe!

We eventually made our way…….way up to Sea Point Promenade and since nothing more was to be seen, we slowly but surely made our way back to the Waterfront while enjoying the various species of birds seen along the shore.

It was pizza night again for me at the Victoria Wharf Mall while Michel had a burger with fries.   I guess I’m not one of those adventurous persons willing to try something different to eat!   Hehehe!

Tomorrow, my Cape Point Tour!   While being quite excited about it…….after all I’ll be going to the most Southern tip of Cape Town and see the place where the Oceans meet……. I wished and I wished quite hard that it would be a nice sunny day but unfortunately, rain was in the forecast!

Today was Fiorella's birthday!   Happy Birthday Fiorella!   Hope you're reading my blogs because if you're not, I'll know!   Hehehe!
