Temperature:   27 degrees (afternoon)
Weather:   sunny, blue sky, beautiful day

In the comfort of our car, Michel proceeded to drive along the winding paths through a variety of landscape, along many lakes, numerous small valleys and rocky hills.   Everywhere I looked, the leaves of the trees were extremely beautiful with its palette of colors……definitely making FALL my favorite season.

Depending on the area we were in….and there were numerous…. many wild animals walked right next to our car where Michel fed them with carrots as they poked their heads right inside the opened windows.    Big moose with gigantic antlers, huge red deer, wild boars-ancestors to the domestic pigs, alpine ibex were some  of the many wild animals that Michel even petted and fed while I sat in the back of the car jumping from one side to the other one snapping pictures or laughing my head off.  It was quite a unique experience and thrilling at the same time.

Driving inside the buffalo enclosed area was quite exciting as the land was absolutely breathtaking.   I even imagined myself in a cowboy movie with tons of buffalos surrounding me.  These gigantic animals either slept on the ground or ate grass while others even approached cars.

One particular huge buffalo came right next to Michel's opened window, probably hungry for some carrots but since it was forbidden to feed them, none were given.  Upset, or maybe because he wanted to scratch his head, who knows….he aggressively tried to kick the car with his horns.  Luckily, no damage was done to the car as Michel sped away while I was having a barrel of laughter in the back seat.

Driving through the bear and arctic wolves areas, enclosed fences surrounded them.  Regardless, we were still able to drive right along the fences, observe them in their natural habitat or throw carrots.  Being used to people feeding them, they gave us a real show as they came real close to the fences and waited for more carrots.  It was quite entertaining and exciting at the same time.

Continuing on, a beaver was spotted in the lake eating a piece of wood while others swam nearby on the surface of the water.  Many geese floated nearby, some even flew away, way up into the blue sky while around me, the incedible sound of the moose could be heard echoing in the wind.  It was paradise on earth......a wildlife one anyway!
