Temperature: 18 degrees (morning)Weather: warm breeze, blue sky==============================
I was quite happy to be heading out this early in the morning to this tourist attraction known as Omega Park in Montebello, Quebec even though my little escapade was only for the day. To go there, a very short ferry ride was taken…… which saved us a good 15 minutes of travelling all together.
Standing still on the ferry's deck, the warm breeze was quite welcomed on my face as I glanced at the multi-colored trees along the river’s shore becoming smaller and smaller while the boat motors slightly vibrated under my feet.
It could have been the gentle rocking of the boat, or even the piercing bright yellow sun way up in the sky but who knows……on the spur of the moment it was kind of a déjà vu as I was instantly brought back to Turkey where several months ago I stood on a ferry boat cruising the Bosphorus Strait and admired the stunning landscape….. But enough day-dreaming I said to myself as the other side of the river was almost reached!
While thinking that today’s forecast record breaking temperature would definitely attract more people to the park, regardless of the outcome, I was in no rush since I needed to get away from all the huff and puff of a city’s life…….and this short trip was exactly what I needed……..a wildlife adventure for a change!
