Day 4 - evening

As a very special evening before Justin and Fiorella's upcoming wedding, we celebrated with family and friends at a Resto Bar! But it wasn’t any kind of resto bar…..it was at the famous Ayahuasca Resto Bar Lounge located in one of the city’s most romantic and bohemian district…..the Barranco district!   Yeahhhhh!

Well, let me tell you that I was quite impressed with what I was seeing!    Glued to the car’s window seat,  the taxi driver drove on many streets in this district surrounded by big beautiful colonial houses and flower-filled parks, home of many leading artists, musicians, designers and photographers....

In the darkness of the night, the entire area looked stunning and amazing to say the least!  Having traveled to Lima before, I had never adventured in this section of the city before tonight!  Sighhhhhh!  Definitely a place to come back to…..at daylight though!  :-)

A stop was finally made at a big imposing two story high colonial house.  Expectations went up as I was greatly impressed to say the least!

Making our way inside the structure…..of course after taking tons of pictures outside, various lounges with fantastic interior design welcomed us in.   We settled in a corner which had comfortable lounge type couches and chairs and were immediately served with good drinks and appetizers as we waited for the others to show up.

We were also lucky to be given a tour of the house by the management who gave us the rounds of the basement and other floors where many other decors with different themes adorned the place.   Throughout this, we all had our fun posing in front of the many amazing lounges, walls and decors, a great combination of Peruvian culture and modern art!   And no, we weren’t drunk!  Ha, ha, ha!

Fiorella’s friends eventually showed up as well as her sister and parents.  We all toasted to the future couple wishing them all the best of luck on their upcoming wedding!   It was a nice way to end the evening!

One more day before "D" day!
