Day 13 (late afternoon – evening)Temperature: 14 degreesWeather: nice sunny day =====================
By taking short cuts here and there, by walking hastily along the sidewalks and by just continuing going up and up the road, a good half an hour later we were finally at the very top of a hill with a view of our hotel way below us. It was nice since we could see a panoramic view of the whole area and Aegean Sea from another perspective.
Down the hill we went and wandered along the quiet streets of Kusadasi landing eventually at a private marina where beautiful sailboats were berthed. The security guard allowed me to go in, just at the entrance however to take pictures.
Two hours later, we were back to square one, in other words, back to our hotel. The day was still young so we decided to take advantage of it by exploring more the rocky shore along the sea just behind our hotel.
Water splashed continuously on the slippery rocks but that didn't stop us from venturing further along the shore. The nice warm breeze of the sea made it even more inviting under the warm rays of the sun. And no, no one slipped and fell in the water!
Slowly but surely, twilight began to set in and in the process, the horizon way above the sea started to change colors! Once more, I was totally hypnotized by the total beauty of it and amazed by this natural phenomenon called sunset!
Dinner was served at 7:00pm and our last evening here at this sea-front hotel was totally enjoyed with the rest of the group. Statistics for the day:
Total Km: Kusadasi to Selcuk to Kusadasi: 60 Km
Total hours: 1 hour (30 min each way)Monique :-)
