Day 12 (late afternoon)Temperature: 12 degreesWeather: sunny and windy
Wow! Wow and Wow! Was what I yelled loudly to Michel when the site of our beautiful sea-front hotel for the next two nights appeared in full view in this lively coastal town of Kusadasi. It was 5:00pm when we arrived.
A refreshing and welcoming cocktail drink was served to each and every one of us the minute we stepped foot inside this breathtaking 5 stars "Charisma Deluxe Hotel Kusadasi" “What a nice way to greet us in”, I instantly told Michel. Keys to our rooms were given to all of us and off we went, in different directions exploring this amazing luxurious hotel. We had time on our own until 7:00pm.
The panoramic view from our waterfront room was totally breathtaking. I could live here forever I yelled at Michel while standing on the balcony overcome by excitement! In front of me, the beautiful Aegean Sea stood out marvelously while in the far horizon, the sun was preparing to paint its magical sunset's colors above the agitated waters. With no time to waste, out the door we went heading to the waterfront terraces!
It was quite windy outside right next to the sea and the water splashed continuously on the shore’s rocks right next to us but prudently, we were able to wander around the hotel’s fabulous grounds without any incidents. It was totally amazing!
Slowly but surely, the sun changed colors going from a bright yellow one to a deep pinkish one while at the same time casting rays all over the horizon. But most importantly, here I was on this day in March 2011 watching this incredible phenomenon. “I can never get bored watching a sunset” I told Michel! “Because each and every one of them is unique and special in its very own special way”!
We wandered around the hotel’s grounds for another half an hour before eventually retreating back into our room in preparation of tonight’s dinner!Monique :-)
