Justin and Fiorella's wedding now being over meant for Michel and me that it was now the time to concentrate on our very own trip, our trip to Brazil. That's right, you heard me correctly!
Having previously visited Peru and all of its main attractions two years ago I thought, well actually Justin came up with the idea, anyway, that since we were already here for almost three weeks in South America, why not pay a visit to Brazil, Peru’s neighboring country and see some of its main attractions!
Since Justin had a very good point there and that I thought how wonderful of an idea it was, well because of that, this evening Michel and I will be departing from Lima to Brazil for an exciting 10 day tour that is sure to be an adventure of a lifetime that will blow us away!
The lovebirds were seen early this morning before they headed out for their honeymoon to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic. They dropped by our hotel for a very short farewell and we both wished one another a wonderful trip. As always, Fiorella looked stunning with the handsome Justin next to her.
After we had a delicious breakfast which by our standards was late at 8:00am, Michel and I took the time to simply relax and enjoy the new day that was opening in front of us. After all our flight wasn’t leaving until this late this evening! As I stepped outside, the sun was warm and there seemed to be less smog in the sky as we strolled down many streets enjoying the beautiful, well for me anyway, the beautiful flowers and homes.
It was so peaceful and lovely that I kept repeating loudly to Michel "how beautiful everything was"! We then walked along the cliff in both directions north and south of the Larcomar Mall. That brought us to various beautiful vistas along the ocean where cactuses and flowers decorated the landscape.
Stopping for a while where the paragliding was being done, we highly enjoyed watching the brave people jumping off the cliff and then flying free as a bird in the sky high above the ocean. If it wasn’t for time pressing, Michel sure would have tried out this exciting sport!
By 6:00pm, we were all ready and with suitcases in hand, we were transferred to the airport by one of the hotel’s shuttle. Some suitcases were left behind in storage because we were coming back here to the Miraflores Colon Hotel after our tour to Brazil.
With excitement, Michel and I both waited patiently at Lima’s International Airport for our new adventure to Brazil to begin! Our evening flight was departing at 9:50pm and with the time difference, we would be arriving in Rio de Janeiro at 5:50am in the early morning hoping that we wouldn’t be suffering too much from jet-lag!
