Day: 2 (morning)
Temperature: 25 Celsius (felt warmer)
Weather: morning fog, grey sky
After having had a much needed sleep, it was quite early in the morning when the three of us left the furnished apartment we had rented from one of Fiorella's friend for the duration of our trip here in Peru. We were feeling quite relaxed and ready for the day ahead of us.
As we strolled down the busy streets in search of a place to have breakfast, I found it quite pleasant just walking and looking around. However, due to my constant stops to take pictures of my surroundings, I kept slowing Michel and Justin down much to their despairs. The sky was still grey due to the haze not being lifted but the breeze was quite warm. It must have been around 25 degrees Celsius this early in the morning and it was absolutely my kind of weather!
After having walked several blocks, we settled for a, yes you guessed it, a McDonald located in the Ovalo Gutierrez section of San Isidro, an area well known to Justin because he used to live around here. I also remembered the area because of having eaten and shopped here two years ago with Michel.
As it turned out, the breakfast was quite delicious plus I had free WiFi. Afterwards, it was time to get moving because Justin had a wedding to plan, purchases to do plus several other things to attend to.
First stop was at a Travel Agency where Justin had booked a trip to Punta Cana for his honeymoon. Last minute details were provided to him as well as fixing up a few problems the agency had with the hotel resort in Punta Cana. Just watching Justin converse fluently in Spanish with the Travel Agency Advisor made me wish I could do the same. However, the lessons I had taken a few years back did help since I was able to understand a few words.
Fiorella met us around 12:00pm as she happened to work close by. The four of us then went for lunch at an excellent restaurant by the name of Danica. By the time we finished our meals and left the place, it was 1:30pm. Fiorella went back to work and as for us, Michel and I, well, we just followed Justin around while he did his errands and we carried all of his stuff!! Groan!
