We left hotel at 8 am to make the 5 hr trip to Prague. We play Russia at 430 today. We stopped at Plzen brewery for lunch and beer of course! I know I am a small town girl when I was wowed by the public toilets. You pay .70 Euro for use and then you press a green button and the seat rotates and contorts as it self cleans before u sit. I would pay big money for a toilet like this living with 3 farm boys. When we arrived in Prague, I immediately agreed that it was the most beautiful city I have seen. I am looking forward to the 3 hour walking guided tour tomorrow. The arena is not fancy but it is right across from the mall. I love the fashion and style of the people here- like from a fashion magazine. I have made friends with Theresa the tour guide and she will take me to some of her favourite boutiques. She lives in Prague and is studying medicine at state university and it is free to go to university. Her brother is 16 and is attending a hockey camp that is being run by Jaromir Jagr....he is worshipped in Czech.

Unfortunately Russia spanked us 6 to 0. They were fast and really good with puck. Our guys had no legs and our passes were sloppy. Beau had a strong game with the only real chances to score. He looked big and strong and played like a Sask. farm boy. Beau will be disappointed but what a cool experience. Tonight we had pork schnitzel and fries for supper. They made a fortune on our team as we had to pay for ketchup. We had a creamy crikssimo for dessert which is a vanilla wafer cookie and it is a typical Czech thing. From the restaurant we went to a market. I bought some fruit but was kicked out of line for not weighing the fruit and putting a price sticker on. It is these simple adventures that we are enjoying the most.

We checked into the Panorama hotel for three nights. It is a very nice hotel. The rooms are smoked in but it has air conditioning and so we are thrilled. Beau is exhausted and collapsed into bed. I am enjoying the night view of Prague as I sit in the dark and finish the days blog.
