Today was sunny with clear blue skies overhead.  After a leisurely brunch we headed for Lookout Mtn. not far from where we are staying.  It's going to take a few days before we are back in shape for this kind of walking but with new shoes and some care we should be able to work up to the hike up Camelback (a much more challenging climb) later in the winter.  We're sending some pictures to give you a perspective of the landscape from the mountain.  It is much greener than we have seen it on any previous visits.  Phoenix has had more rain this year than for several past.

We are gradually slowing down to a more relaxed pace.  The scramble to get ready to leave following on the Christmas busyness, left us quite tired before we even began the trip.  We are still playing catch-up on tasks that were transportable and Don is continuing to conduct some real estate business from here.  Modern technology makes it possible - cell phone plus internet.

For the gals out there, I am attaching a photo that I took at the car show - a booth featuring wearable art.  The fabric used is a blend of wool and silk, the designs are mainly painted with fabric dyes - very precise and controlled work as opposed to the free style work that is more common.  Some of it may actually be done with stencils.  The jacket in the foreground has no facings or lining, is edged with a very narrow silk binding and is priced at $650.   I can't identify the artist at the moment.
