This was my last day in Sa Pa (or Sapa as we say it). I wish I could say it was a lazy day, but it wasn't. I walked 1000 stairs down past the Cat Cat village (a H'mong village) to an amazing waterfall at a junction of three rivers, where I relaxed a little on the banks of one of those rivers. It was fabulous. I just love the countryside of Indochina's hills! Than I walked another 500 stairs until I reached the main road and took a motor ride back to the city.
After lunch I climbed the Dragon hill. It wasn't a big climb and there's not much to see or do but it's funny how Vietnamese made it interesting. There's a Heaven gate and Three entry cave and Cloud garden, but none of it resembles it's name. The whole thing is just a scam to get money from people, mostly Vietnamese tourists. But it wads nice, especially when I reached the Microwave tower!
Tomorrow I go wet. I couldn't find anyone to share the jeep with me, so I'm taking the local bus. Well, that's fun too. I just wish I could stop on the way t see more of this beautiful countryside....
