Hanoi is a noisy, polluted and crouded city. But beautiful.
I was prepared for rude and pushy people, but everybody's been sooooo great, nice and helpful.
Got myself a room in a very new hotel. I was the third one to stay in the room 401. They arranged me a bike for 1$ for a whole day. The guy took me on a motorbike (yes, I drove on a motorbike on the crazy streets of Hanoi, where the only street rule is that there is no rule, you just go with the flow... god forbit you start to hesitate and stop!!!) to the place where they rented bikes. He didn't charge and the hotel internet was free.

So first I went around the Hoan Kiem Lake. It's the lake in the centre of the old Hanoi that has a small temple on small island at one part of it and a temple of turtles on the other part of it. There are supposed to be turtles in that lake although I haven't see any.

I wanted to see the Ho Chi Minh mausoleum, the beloved leader of the Vietnamese who died in the seventies but is the one who lead Vietnamese in the victory agaist the american agressor and had united north and south and saved people from the claws of kapitalism....Unfortunately the mausoleum was closed so I visited the Museum of (the brave) women of Vietnam.

Hoa Lo Prison Museum was great, although there's half of it missing and is now adjoined with the business center built with Singapurese help...

I went to see the water puppets in a National water puppet Theatre. It's a MUST see for everyone who comes in Hanoi and I agree. They make wooden puppets look alive and the puppeteers are masters of their work.

I'm meeting people from the plain all the time. It's like there's only come one plane from abroad ant that was ours....
