We ate again in the fast food hall where the food was good enough and much cheaper than the restaurants. Then we picked up the car from the valet.
Before taking the car back we wanted to drive up and down the strip whilst we still had the opportunity. The strip is a really crazy place. It is just like a theme park. Opposite our hotel is the New York, New York Hotel and you can see the imitation Brooklyn Bridge and the rollercoaster from the road. Continuing down the strip you pass all the major hotels, Caesars Palace stood out as the hotel that looked the largest, it must be cavernous inside. Maybe we'll get some time to explore it later
We dropped the Dodge Charger off at the airport and took a taxi back to our hotel, stopping briefly to get some food for our three day trip which starts tomorrow. We then spent some time getting ready for the evening and packing what we needed for tomorrows 6am start.
We wanted to visit one of the nice restaurants in the hotel for dinner and decided on a fish restaurant called Sea Blue. We sat at the bar rather than wait for a table and ordered some cocktails. I took a Seafood Paella Tagine and Van stuck to an appetiser! The food was really good, as it should have been for the price
We had decided to head to the Tryst nightclub at the Wynn this evening. It is one of the newest hotels and clubs in Las Vegas and one of the most exclusive and popular. We took a quick look around the Wynn lobby before we took our place in the queue for Tryst. They had a huge waterfall spectacularly lit that falls into a pool surrounded on three sides by terraces for one of the hotels bars. You can see this through a three story window from the top of a balcony flanked on either side by two curved escalators descending down to the bar. It’s an impressive design.
We got to Tryst quite early, 30 minutes before they opened in fact and got a place almost at the front of the queue. It was a good thing too as 20 minutes later it was growing and already wrapped around the sides of the hotels oversized lobby.
It seems women get in everywhere in Las Vegas either for free or at a very discounted price. Men seem to pay a hefty price tag! After doing almost as thorough a job of lightening my wallet as the Wyoming State Trooper, we were let into the club.
It was very plush inside
Van soon found a ledge to sit on and was promptly told off. Not for sitting down, but for removing her heels! We had a few drinks and the music was really good. For somewhere so exclusive it didn’t feel too pretentious as it can often feel in London as the crowd was very mixed. The place filled up very quickly. After a few hours we made our way back to the hotel to sleep for only a few hours before our 5am alarm!
