We headed out from Wurzburg, Germany towards the Czech border right after breakfast.  Since Byron successfully navigated our rented Opel Vectra from the Frankfurt airport to Wurzburg last night, it was my turn to drive the Autobahn.  Wow, do Germans ever drive fast!  I was going about 145 km/h, and still a fair number of them passed me like jet planes.

A few kms outside of Wurzburg, I noticed a couple of signs that said "Ausfahrt", with arrows indicating various exits.  I asked Byron if we were going the right way, since I was sure I had spotted a couple of signs for this Ausfahrt place the day before on our way out of Frankfurt.  "Do all roads in Germany lead to Ausfahrt?", I asked?   Well, it took him a couple of minutes to recover from laughing before he could tell me that Ausfahrt is the German word for Exit.  Hee hee!

We made it to Plzen around 1 pm, just in time for an outdoor cafe lunch accompanied by a frosty mug of the original Pilsner beer.  The goulash was very good, and I suspect there will be lots more tasty bowls of the stuff on this trip.
