Jambo!
Sorry I have not been able to write lately, but I have been very busy. This past Saturday I went to the Kukamega Rainforest with the other IU students. We had so much fun. I didn't see too many animals, but the scenary was amazing. This coming weekend we are just going to relax and go hiking near our village. Then, the following weekend, we are going water rafting on the Nile River. I am so nervous! THEN, the following week, we are going to the Coast (Indian Ocean) for a few days. It is supposed to be beautiful there. We are also going to Lake Victoria to boat and to visit a cave with ancient drawings.
We found a local "pub" that has become my second home. The staff there knows our drink orders as soon as we walk in :-) We will be going to the pub  every Friday evening. I had a  few African skirts made on Friday, so I should be getting those soon. I will take pictures. Speaking of pictures, I found a new Cyber Cafe where I can download pictures, but I left my camera at home. I PROMISE I will post pictures by the end of this weeek.
I am very excited about having roomates. I have three of them; Claire, April, and Jordan. We call our hut  " Cool Club Kabula." We have so much fun!!!! We keep one another sane.
I don't have much time to write today because  I have to go to the grocery store, so I can only tell one funny story.  So here it goes....... Today while I was teaching creative arts, I saw something fall from the classroom ceiling. I went to see what it was, and it was an enourmous rat. I started screaming and all of the kids ran outside screaming and crying, including me. The funniest part was that my supervising teacher, who is a big lady, was so scared she was pushing the students out of her way so she could run through the door too. I have never laughed so hard. The other teachers ran outside to see what was going on. Finally, one of the male teachers chased the rat out of the room .
I will try to write more tomorrow. If anyone would like me to send a letter from Africa, send me your address. I have already sent out a stack of letters today, so they should be arriving next week (7 days). IF you want to send me a letter, my address is:

Jacquie Falzarano
P.O. Box 459
Bungoma, Kenya 50200
East Africa

Mom, will you please send me a bag of Tostito scoops, two jars of salsa and a jar of the con queso cheese dip? Pretty please????? Wrap the jars in newspaper and then squeeze them into a small box. Thank you! That can be my Easter present, since I won't get an Easter basket this year or a birthday party :-(

Grandpa, thank you for changing my return ticket three times :-) Sorry about the hassle!

And to all my family and friends, I love you and miss you so much!

Love ya bunches,
Jacquie
