The hotel server is currently down, so please forgive the fact that this entry was not posted the day of. Budapest was quite rainy this morning, but that did not stop us from making our way from our hotel in Central Pest, across the Danube ( by way of the Margit Bridge[Hid]), to the Castle and Gellert Hill Areas. The sun was out by early afternoons

to showcase the beautiful city.

We visited the Hungarian National Gallery and the Royal Palace in the morning. They are both up on a large hill and we went up to them in something called a Funicular. After lunch we went to the Rock Church-a church which was constructed inside the blasted out parts of a cave along the Danube. It's a very small and intimate church run by Pauline Monks. We crossed the Liberty Bridge back to Central Pest and made our way to St. Stephen's Basilica. We got there just before a concert was starting so we couldn't go in the church.
