Our last days in Dunsborough were like a perfect beach Holiday. We enjoyed our time along the white shores, watching surfers and sailors traverse the waves. Maxwell went running along the shore every day and together we enjoyed the long walks. Dunsborough is also characterized by emptiness: enjoying the peace and calm was a significant part of our holiday. Another was our experience with Humpback Whales, Bottle-nose Dolphins and Fur Seals in Geographe Bay. We will miss Dunsborough.

Next we drove down to Pemberton, a small village surrounded by forests. In this serene area we have rented a small farm cottage with a excellent view towards the hills. At night we look at the stars in a pitch blacks sky - reminding us of the emptiness which we miss in house in Amsterdam. In daytime, Josephine spends time with the farm animals. She shows no signs of fear and feeds horses, sheep, cows and goat. The scenery of Perberton is most impressive: huge trees and dense forests are the key attraction for tourists. Yesterday Maxwell went for a long walk through the forest, looking for material to capture on his camera. We encounter strange wildlife all the time: aggressive Bull Ants, Laughing Kookaburras and Blue Wrens.

From Pemberton we drove south to Windy Harbour - the most Southern tip of our long journey. It's all North from here.
