Last week Marianne and Josephine finally arrived. After a month of relative solitude I was very happy to greet them at Dulles airport. We enjoy being together again, although available time was limited due to my final exams. However, yesterday we celebrated my last day at Georgetown University. And today we marked the end with a shopping spree at Pentagon City - a local mall.

It was nice to show Marianne and Josephine around Washington. We visited the famous monuments and traversed the impressive federal buildings. I showed Josephine the view of The National Mall from Lincoln Memorial and we enjoyed good food on M Street in Georgetown. Although it takes longer to get around with Josephine and her green buggy, the time is always well spent. Especially the metro halls are eerily beautiful.

The next weeks I will engage my thesis on the IRS. Now I can now allocate my time as I desire, which means there is more room for engaging America. Therefore, we plan to visit Maryland, Connecticut, New Jersey and Virginia in the next three weeks.
