We got up this morning and had breakfast at the aunt and uncles. Afterwards, we walked around outside (it really is beautiful up here in the mountains). We messed around a bit, took naps, and then got up and made dinner (beef brisket that Muriel had made) and left for the Wendy Rule Concert.
The concert was held in Hadley, about an hour away. It was at a shop called Inspirit Commons, a New-Age supply store similar to Renaissance in Springfield. We got there and I had to set up Connor's ramp so he could get into the place, and this chick all decked out in goth attire complete with corset with boobs falling out asked if she could get by. I said "sure" and let her through, thinking to myself, "Wow...some chick dressed up like that to come see Wendy Rule; how tacky!". Come to find out, that WAS Wendy Rule.
I had never heard of this singer before, but man, can she sing! Her voice was amazing; she filled the room without using a microphone, and her range was just out of this world! Take a look at the pictures; Connor was so excited! And she sang all three songs that Connor asked her to sing. After the concert, we drove home and crashed; we were exhausted! One last note: Jakki was telling e about her aunt and uncle, and how when they lived in East Hampton, they went to synagogue with Steven Spielberg. Spielberg! Its really hard to imagine knowing a famous person. And to live here in the Berkshires...it's really amazing, and beautiful. More thumbnails ...
