Though I was in Ouray for nearly 2 weeks we didn’t really get up to much apart from work on getting the new brewery up and running. To most of you, you must be thinking what a boring trip. I can tell you know it was really fun. Working with Brandon, Ross, Dan, Dan’s Dad Frank and getting to know his Mum, Terry his sister Renee and her husband Michael along with Dad (aka Adam) was awesome fun.
Dan’s Mum and Dad were awesome. They invited me into their home without even knowing me and treated me like part of the family
Working with Dan, Brandon and Ross was just as much fun. We got a far bit done during the days but we always seemed to enjoy it. A lot of time was spent standing around like it was a mothers meeting but we got in there and got things done. I haven’t laughed so much over lunch breaks as I have with these boys. Top guys who I enjoyed spending time with.
It may seem like I worked the entire time I was there but I didn’t. Ross, Dan and I got out shooting one afternoon before having a decent session on the beers afterwards which brought back some Mexico memories. It’s always a good time out with the fella’s.
We had one more decent session the day before I Colorado when Dan and I headed back to Denver
All in all, it was a great time in Colorado. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and the company. To anyone that is going to be in or is thinking of going to Colorado you’ll have an awesome time. Head out to Montrose and go to the “Two Rascals Brewery” due to open in the middle third of this year. Look them up on Facebook to view of some of the photos of the work in progress and insight to the brewery. Dan and Brandon have an awesome location with a really great building to house the Brewery. They are 2 guys who have their heads screwed on, a great business sense, a great knowledge of brewing and all in all 2 great guys. I know their business is going to be a great success and I’m glad to be a part of helping things get closer to opening date. Tell them that you’ve read my blog and or know me and they’ll provide you with great tasting beer and a warm and friendly brewery. They might even give you a tour. Who knows I might bump into you when I’m over enjoying a cold one myself when I’m over there next.
I wish I could stay in Colorado longer though there is still things to see and do elsewhere. Miami is the next stop on my adventures around the globe. Looking forward to the sun sand and beaches and also my second spring break in a row.
Until then, stay safe and happy travels
